- Weather on race day
- February in Guadalajara is dry and mild: race mornings usually start around 11–15 °C and warm quickly once the sun is up, toward daytime highs near 26 °C. Rain is rare, but the dry air and moderate altitude mean you lose fluid faster than you notice, so drink at the early stations.
What to train for
This is a road half on wide avenues that rewards a steady rhythm: build up to weekly sessions such as 3 x 4 km at half-marathon pace and a 30–40 minute tempo run at threshold.
Long runs of 18–22 km with the last 5 km strong teach you to finish fast.
At about 1,550 m, visitors from sea level should expect the pace to feel slightly harder, so start conservatively and push in the final 5 km.
