The route crosses three municipalities (Gómez Palacio, Lerdo and Torreón) on roads closed under a municipal traffic plan. The finish is on Juan Pablos street at the Grito del Triunfo, outside the Bosque Venustiano Carranza in Torreón, Coahuila. Water and isotonic drink are served at points along the way, with chip splits every 5 km.

- Weather on race day
- March in Torreón is dry and sunny: long-term averages give a minimum of 12 °C and a maximum of 26 °C, with about 5 mm of rain in the whole month. The early start means cool air for the first hours, then the sun warms the second half quickly. Wear a cap and sunglasses, put on sunscreen and drink at every station once the temperature climbs. Train some long runs in warm afternoons beforehand so the heat in the final kilometers feels familiar.
What to train for
The general start is at 6:30 a.m. with a 6 hour 30 minute time limit, so every steady runner has room to finish strong.
Build your long runs up to 30 to 35 km and practice taking water and an isotonic drink every 5 km, the same rhythm as the race splits.
Train some long runs early in the morning so your body knows the race-day schedule. Add marathon pace segments of 8 to 16 km in the final two months, and taper over the last two weeks. With 4,500 places and a sell-out habit, register early and plan your build around 7 March.
