Course
The Topman Concón course
Everything happens on the seafront at Playa Amarilla in Concón. The ocean swim is a 750 m triangle (A to B to C and back to the beach), swum twice on the Olympic and once on the Sprint, and the bike park sits underground at sea level, so you climb a ramp to reach the road in T1.
Read the full course notes
The bike course is a closed out-and-back circuit on Avenida Borgoño between Avenida Pedro de Valdivia and Calle Las Elenas by Playa Las Conchitas: 8 laps for the 40 km Olympic, 4 laps for the 20 km Sprint, with drafting allowed. The run follows the Borgoño seafront cycle path between Playa Amarilla and Bajada San Fabián, 4 laps for the Olympic 10 km and 2 for the Sprint 5 km, finishing back on the promenade. Cut-offs for the Olympic are 45 minutes for the swim, 1:30 for the bike and 1:15 for the run.

- About 280 triathletes across both distances in 2026
- Race-day conditions
- Late August is winter on the central Chilean coast: Viña del Mar, next door, usually sees about 7–16 °C, and August is one of the rainier months, with roughly 4 wet days. Water temperature is not published in advance: the organisers announce the wetsuit rule the day before, based on the measured temperature, so bring yours and get used to winter open-water swims.
What to train for
The bike is a draft-legal, 8-lap Olympic loop with a turn at each end, so practise group riding, braking and sprinting out of 180-degree turns, and holding a wheel at race pace.
Swim sessions should include ocean or open-water starts and sighting on big buoys, since each lap of the triangle is 750 m.
On the run, rehearse 2.5 km out-and-back repeats at 10 km pace and brick runs straight off the bike, because the transition involves stairs and a ramp between the beach and the road.
