Course
The Meia de Osasco course
The half marathon starts at 6:00 outside Osasco City Hall on Avenida Lázaro de Mello Brandão and runs point to point to the finish at Arena Osasco in Jardim das Flores, where the 5K and 10K start at 7:00. The official 21K profile stays between 715 and 777 m and adds up to 269 m of climbing: a gentle rise to about 745 m by km 3, then a long, mostly flat middle section around 720 m from km 6 to km 12.5.

The defining stretch is km 13 to km 15.5, a climb of about 55 m to the high point of the course with ramps of up to 11%, followed by a quick descent and one more rise near km 18.5. The last 2 km trend gently down into the arena. 2027 is only the second edition, on a course measured to CBAt standards with a 3h30 time limit.

- Rolling
- Distances
- 5K, 10K, Half marathon
- Weather on race day
- February is the hot, wet heart of summer in greater São Paulo: early mornings are usually around 19–22 °C with high humidity (around 75%), and afternoons reach about 29 °C. Rain falls mostly as afternoon storms, so the 6:00 start usually means warm, muggy air rather than a downpour. Start drinking before the gun and treat the km 13 climb as an effort, not a pace.
What to train for
Prepare for the climb from km 13 to 15.5: once a week, run 6–8 repeats of 2–3 minutes uphill at half-marathon effort, and put a sustained climb in the second half of your long runs.
Practise running downhill relaxed and quick, because the descent after the summit is where you can win back time.
Do tempo runs on flat ground at goal pace to own the flat middle 7 km, and schedule key sessions at 6:00 to get used to warm, humid early starts.

Taper
Tapering for the Meia de Osasco
Start the taper ten to fourteen days before race day. Cut your weekly volume by about a third, then by half in race week, and keep a few short efforts at race pace so your legs stay sharp. The course rolls, so keep one short session on undulating ground in the first taper week. With the race on February 21, 2027, your taper starts around February 9, 2027.
