    Course

The Meia Maratona de Leme course

The fifth edition starts and finishes at Parque Ecológico Mourão on Avenida Taufic Nacif Mansur, in the Vale Verde area of Leme, with the start at 6:30. The same morning offers 5K, 10K and 21K races plus a walk and a kids' race, so expect a busy, family atmosphere around the park.

The organisers have not published a course map or elevation profile for 2027 yet, so check the event page before your final weeks of training. Leme sits in the rolling interior of São Paulo state, so it is wise to include some hills in training until the profile is out. Every finisher gets a medal, and 188 trophies are up for grabs across overall, age group and team categories.

    Distances
    5K, 10K, Half marathon
    Weather on race day
Late January in Leme is usually 19–23 °C at a 6:30 start, climbing toward 28–30 °C by mid-morning, with high humidity. Summer storms tend to build in the afternoon, so race morning is more often warm and muggy than wet: start a little conservatively and drink early.

    What to train for

With the 21K run in summer heat, make your key long runs early-morning sessions building to 18 to 20 km, with the final 4 to 5 km at half marathon pace.

Until the course profile is published, run one easy run a week on hilly roads and add short hill repeats (8 to 10 x 45 seconds) so a climb never catches you unprepared.

Practise your drinking routine in long runs, because summer in the interior makes sweat losses high even at dawn.
