The published profile stays between roughly 150 and 220 m: a gentle climb to the high point around km 10, a gradual descent to the low point around km 17, then a steady rise of about 25 m over the closing kilometres. The turnarounds give you plenty of chances to see the leaders and cheer on friends, and the 9:30 start comes with a 3-hour time limit.

- Weather on race day
- Late March in Braga usually brings 8–13 °C at the 9:30 start, rising toward 17–19 °C by midday. Spring showers are common in the Minho, so pack a rain layer and dry clothes for after. Cool, damp mornings suit fast times as long as you warm up well.
What to train for
Braga's profile is never steep but rarely flat, so train on rolling routes and practice holding race pace on gentle climbs without surging.
Each turnaround costs a few seconds: rehearse tight 180-degree turns and a quick return to pace in your tempo runs.
Finish one long run a week with 4 to 5 km at goal pace on a slight uphill to mirror the final kilometres to the finish.
