Course
The Wine & Dine Half course
The half marathon starts at 5:00 AM on resort roads at Walt Disney World, with staging at EPCOT, and runs 13.1 miles through the resort to a finish at EPCOT, followed by the after-hours post-race party at the Food & Wine Festival. Recent courses have run through EPCOT's World Showcase and out to Disney's Hollywood Studios before returning, and the 2026 theme centres on the World Showcase countries.

The roads are flat, with the only climbs coming from overpasses and ramps between parks. Character stops and photo lines line the course, and every runner must hold a 16:00 per mile pace, tracked by pace cyclists at the mile markers.

- Flat
- Distances
- 5K, 10K, Half marathon
- Weather on race day
- Late October in Orlando usually means a start in the mid 60s to low 70s °F and high humidity, with temperatures climbing toward the upper 70s by mid-morning. Rain showers are possible but storms are less common than in summer. Start conservatively, drink early, and remember that the first miles are run in the dark.
What to train for
Humidity and an early start shape this race more than the terrain.
Do some of your long runs in the early morning and practise waking at 2:30 to 3:00 AM, eating, and running two or three hours later.
If you plan to stop for characters, rehearse stop-start long runs so restarting feels normal, and know your pace margin over the 16:00 per mile limit. Challenge runners should practise a 10K on Saturday followed by a long run on Sunday.

Taper
Tapering for the Wine & Dine Half
Start the taper ten to fourteen days before race day. Cut your weekly volume by about a third, then by half in race week, and keep a few short efforts at race pace so your legs stay sharp. The course is flat, so pacing decides the day: rehearse your goal pace in short segments during race week.
