The Toledo Mini course
The Mini Half Marathon is point to point: it starts at 8:00 AM in Uptown Maumee on Conant Street between Wayne and Dudley and finishes at Glass City Metropark. The route runs through residential Historic Maumee, past the Toledo Country Club and the Toledo Zoo, and into downtown Toledo along the Glass City Riverwalk, with an early look at sections that opened in June 2026.

The Glass City 10K starts under an arch on Riverside Drive at Glass City Metropark and shares the same finish, followed by a celebration at The Garden by Poco Piatti. Shuttles run from Glass City Metropark to the half start before the race, but there is no shuttle back to Maumee afterward. Time limits are 3.5 hours for the half and 2 hours for the 10K.
- Distances
- Half marathon, 10K
- Weather on race day
- Late March in Toledo is still cool: March averages a high of 46 °F and a low of 28 °F, with about 2.5 inches of precipitation and 4.9 inches of snow across the month. Expect a chilly 8:00 AM start and plan gloves, a hat and a throwaway layer, especially for the early shuttle and the wait in Maumee. Check the forecast the night before and dress as if it were about 15 °F warmer, since you will warm up fast once you start. Cool weather like this is ideal for a fast spring race.
What to train for
A March race means most of your build happens in winter, so keep a few treadmill runs or flexible days in your plan for stormy weeks.
Build the half marathon long run to 10 to 12 miles, and finish some long runs with 2 to 3 miles at goal pace so you can close strongly along the river.
Water and Gatorade come at five stops, with GU gels at miles 4.1 and 8.44, so practice taking a gel in training. 10K runners can add a weekly tempo run of 20 to 30 minutes. If you park in Maumee, arrange your ride back from the finish ahead of time.
